The most convenient way to reach Arwa Farms is via train. There are several options available, Local, Mail and Express trains. Once you reach Dahanu station we can connect you with rickshaw drivers. They can pick you up from station and drop you to the farm - cost is Rs 200. Alternately, you could also drive down to Arwa Farms.
Tips:
• Driving during Monsoon is out of the World Experience
• One rickshaw can accommodate 5 people
• You can hire a rickshaw to move around Dahanu, in case you decide to take the train option
Although you get away from the city life at Arwa Farms, you don’t necessarily have to stay away from city food. There are multiple restaurants options for both, vegetarian and non-vegetarian.
However, if you would like to indulge in meals at the farm it will cost you Rs 400 per person per veg meal (lunch or dinner) And Rs 200 for BF. Food will be local, prepared by the locals, nothing fancy. We only cook for in-house guest. And if the food taste good then please tip our team. That would work as an encouragement.
We would be happy to connect you with nature. The idea is that you should be doing everything that you miss doing in a city. And there are quite a few things that we can suggest. Moreover, we don’t have a TV but there is a music system. You are free to bring your own choice of music and connect with Bluetooth. If you are desperate for internet then we can help you locate spots at the farm from where you can operate your mobile
We run this place with a very different concept. We don't run this place as a resort so there is no check-in and check-outs. However, if we have a booking on the following day then we will request you to checkout from your room but you are free to stay on the farm as long as you desire.
We would discourage you from applying any mosquito cream that would stop your skin from breathing. Arwa Farm is very well maintained and mosquito are not a big issue. But during monsoon the problem does get aggravated and that’s nature. And we have to keep one thing in mind, that we are invading their home turf and not the other way round.
We have beds for 24 people and extra provision can be made on Terrace, Machan and Cots. All put together, we can easily take up to 40/42 people. On several occasions, we have hosted 40 plus people for overnight corporate outings, birthday bash, pre-wedding cocktails, Mehndi and Sangeet functions.
Yes, most certainly. We have made all adequate arrangements for old and “differently-abled” people who would need mechanically-assisted-transportation.
At ARWA FARMS, we are organic in every possible way. We recycle our water, we use farm ash to wash the utensils and our soaps & toothpaste are free of chemicals. Our humble request, therefore, is to please refrain from using any chemical products here. All you need to carry is your towel and toothbrush.
Parking is not an issue. We can easily accommodate up to 14/15 cars in the farm.
Yes, you are most welcome to join our team on the field. This is cardio/gym/treadmill at its best. The average waistline of our team working in the field is 28 inches (excluding the owner). So you are most welcome to get into that shape.
No, we are not into selling anything. We grow food mainly for our personal consumption. However, you can taste the seasonal veggies and fruits while you are here.
It all depends on an individual. If you want to soak in the green and are not very fussy about getting your hands and feet dirty in the soil then monsoon is for you. Many guests get involved in plantation and kids have a gala time.
Winter has a different charm. Early morning mist and singing birds have their own magic. Guest enjoy lazy mornings and piping hot tea and end up taking sun bath And night time is for soft music and bonfire.
And the summer breeze under the mango tree canopy is anytime better than the scorching heat of the city. You could also take a dip in the nearby river or enjoy the mud bath. Plus, the fun of sleeping under the open sky at night time has its own attraction.
Yes, you are most welcome to come over for a day picnic. The day package includes lunch & evening tea. It would cost Rs 2000/- per head
Yes, we have our own dogs, cats, goats, cows and chickens. And I’m sure they would be more than happy to welcome friends from the city.
Just to let u know that ours is an Organic Farm with basic facilities. You won’t find resort type ambience. Our home is built on eco-friendly concept

*no AC
*No Swimming pool

And I consider these as plus points of my place. We have not even plastered our walls so that the bricks can breathe. The idea is to enjoy a different experience of Organic Living. So come over and enjoy the green landscape, fresh air, zero noise pollution and clear azure sky.
